Tim inti BALANU mengurus kurasi konten, moderasi, pengembangan portal, dan menjalin kolaborasi dengan berbagai pihak. Namun denyut utama BALANU tetap berasal dari para kontributor — pelaku UMKM, penulis warga, penyuluh, dan pegiat komunitas yang mengisi portal ini dengan cerita dan karya mereka.
